Silveria Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu, Au Property, Lima, Peru.
The Silveria Ag-Pb-Zn Property, owned by Minera Grenville S.A.C., is located within the District of San Mateo, Department of Lima in the Republic of Peru; approximately 80 km east of Lima. The Property is centered on Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system, Provisional South American Datum 1956, zone 18L, 364000 meters East and 8688000 meters North; or geographic coordinate system 76º13’ of west Longitude and 11º51’ of south Latitude. The subject Claims cover an area of 6122 hectares. The claims are for metallic minerals giving the titleholder the right to explore and exploit metallic minerals within the bounds of the Claims; subject to the payment of the annual Claim fees, and other operating and environmental licences established by Peruvian Mining Law and other Peruvian legislation.
The Property is located within the Western Cordillera of the Peruvian Andes in rugged terrain typical of the Andean highlands. The elevations on the Property reach over 5200 meters (17,000 feet). Access is considered good for exploration purposes. Minera Grenville S.A.C. maintains a symbiotic relationship with the local residents and has obtained the surface Rights to the strategic areas of the Property.
Economic mineralization on the Property is related to ubiquitous NE to ENE steeply dipping quartz, carbonate, galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite veins hosted within well-defined fracture zones that formed in response to a regional scale tectonism. The strongly mineralized zones within the veins (ore shoots) are sub-vertical and according to historical cross-sections, have vertical extents of more than 400 metres. The rock textures and metal zoning indicate an intermediate sulphidation environment (Gilbertson and O’Donovan, 2008). Based on the deposit type, it is possible that economic mineralization continues much deeper than what past development identified. The along-strike and down-dip characteristics and economic continuity of the mineralization are not well defined and need to be studied. However, Gilbertson and O’Donovan (2008) report Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu assay results as high as 3240 g/t, 12.05 %, 13.05 % and 3.38 % respectively. Local Au anomalies reaching up to 6.89 g/t are present and are likely correlated to quartz gold veining (Gilbertson and O’Donovan, 2008). The rock is locally silicified and contains up to 15% disseminated euhedral pyrite crystals. The geochemical characteristics and extend of this mineralization type is unknown.
